Through a Systems Thinking lens, this session will lend perspective to the complex challenges facing cities and communities across Canada, with commonality around the world. From climate change to inequity and housing, through to social isolation and lack of trust in government – innovation has never been more important than it is today in the public service. This session will explore the role of leaders, community, young people and collaboration in navigating increasing complexity through an up-close view into the relationship focused, playful and hopeful world of CityStudio, an innovation hub at the heart of City Hall in Vancouver.
